Mercer Controls provides true 24/7 emergency service with fast response times for municipalities and utilities across South and Central Texas. When critical systems fail, our team drops everything to help restore service and protect your community.

Our customers consistently tell us the same thing: when no one else will come, Mercer does. While others quote weeks-long timelines or never show up at all, we take responsibility for our customers’ systems and act with urgency when they need help most.

What We Get Called For

Most emergency calls start with one of these. If you are looking at something on this list right now, call us — do not wait for business hours.

  • Pumps that will not start, will not stay running, or short-cycle
  • High-level and overflow alarms at a lift station
  • A dead control panel — no power, tripped breakers, burned contactors or starters
  • VFD faults and drive lockouts
  • Failed floats, transducers and level sensors giving false readings
  • Loss of water pressure to part or all of a system
  • Booster pump and well pump failures
  • SCADA, telemetry or auto-dialers that have gone quiet
  • Chlorination feed failures and chlorine analyzer alarms
  • Motor rotation, wiring and starter problems after a repair
  • Storm and lightning damage to panels, radios and instrumentation
  • Blowers, aeration and treatment equipment that has stopped

If it powers, controls or monitors your system, we can work on it — including panels and equipment installed by somebody else. See repairs and replacements.

Real-World Emergency Response

City of Beeville – Booster Pump Failure

The City of Beeville experienced a critical failure of their booster pumps at the water treatment plant. Their primary pumps were down, and their spare was not operational — putting the entire city at risk of losing water pressure.

Mercer Controls immediately mobilized our team, sourced a temporary pump, assembled the required fittings and connections, and installed a temporary pumping solution to keep the system running. Within a day, the city’s water service was stabilized while permanent repairs were completed. What could have become a citywide outage was prevented through rapid response and coordinated action.

City of Columbus – After-Hours Emergency

In Columbus, a booster pump failure occurred late in the afternoon, threatening water service to a large portion of the city. Mercer Controls responded immediately, securing a rental pump, gathering the proper hoses and fittings, and dispatching technicians that same afternoon.

Our team worked late into the night installing a temporary pumping solution to ensure the city maintained water pressure. Because of the fast response, half the city avoided a complete loss of water service.
